About Me
Wondering about all the German phrases? I came up with the name "KinderBild" from my grandparents. They came to America from Austria, still speak German and still insist a dark frothy beer should be had with most meals. When my grandpa is around his great-grandchildren he always says "kinder sein kinder", which means "kids will be kids". From this, KinderBild Photography was born!

A few things you should know about me...
My husband, Joe, and I live in Lee's Summit, MO with our three kids, Emma, Molly, and Walter... and new puppy addition, Dixie! I grew up here, went to Mizzou and received a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. We have lived in Columbia, Chicago and Indianapolis, but are now settled for good back here in Lee's Summit! I loved my work as a physical therapist, but am now focusing on photography to have more flexibility and time home with my kids!

I started photography with my dad's old film camera and darkroom equipment. While I love the process and the look of developing my own prints, it is not the most efficient! My passion for photography continues to grow, and I feel lucky to be able to share some of that passion with others. I want to provide families with affordable, quality photos that capture a moment in our ever-changing and fast-paced world.
